OVERVIEW

Set in the magnificent grounds of Chatsworth, the ancestral seat of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and one of Europe’s greatest stately homes, Beyond Limits is now firmly established as one of the most exciting selling exhibitions of outdoor sculpture and a key event in the art world calendar. 

Under the curatorship of Sotheby’s specialists Alexander Platon and Simon Stock, the exhibition has become known for its dynamic selection of monumental works by international Modern and Contemporary artists. 

Following the phenomenal success of the last seven years, Sotheby’s has returned to Chatsworth this autumn, showcasing works from a variety of cutting edge contemporary artists, as well as works from established modern masters. The 2013 exhibition takes place from 9 September to 27 October.

This year's Beyond Limits will be paired with Modern Makers, an indoor selling exhibition of specially commissioned works by leading designers and craftsmen of our day.
